How to Quickly Create a One-Page Life Map

I’m often asked how to get started creating your GPS for Life, your life map on one-page. Here’s how.

Let’s start with what we know, then build from there.

  • Pinterest
  • Gmail
  • Print Friendly
  • Twitter
  • Facebook
  • Buffer

Grab your To Do List. It can be in your head or written down, no worries.

Take a piece of paper, fold it into thirds twice, and label it like this:

  • Pinterest
  • Gmail
  • Print Friendly
  • Twitter
  • Facebook
  • Buffer

Or create 9 Lists in Google Keep labeled Finance, Food, Health, Home, Job, Keeping, Learning, Legacy, Virtues. Add your to do’s using their check box feature. Pin all 9 to the top of Google Keep.

Or create 9 Folders in your phone’s Notes App. Start a new note in each folder and label it Tasks. Pin it to the top of the folder.

  • Next, write down what you have already created in each of the 9 buckets.
  • Then, quickly note what you’d like to create next in each.

Don’t you already feel a little better? When we divide up our dreams and task list, everything just seems more do-able.

Plus, it’s easier to see how every little thing we do adds to the big picture of the life we love.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q | I’m confused about what goes into each bucket

A | Download the worksheet below with the GPS for Life pillars and buckets.

Q | How does putting my To Do List into buckets help me feel less overloaded with the many things I have to do?

A | I take the To Do’s in each category and put them in order of importance. The single best way to tackle overload is dial into today and act. Just do it! Pick a ‘must do’ and do the very smallest action.
